LANA WORKS TO CREATE FLEXIBLE PACKAGES SPECIFIC TO EACH CLIENT
The needs of each client have varied greatly and it is important to be able to customize each contract to address specific goals of each project. Most projects these days include a social media consultation and brand refresh - Lana specializes in Squarespace and Shopify conversions for small business.
WEB & GRAPHIC DESIGN: INNERVERSE INTEGRATED HEALTH
Innerverse Integrated Health - Website & Branding
Innerverse Integrated Health is a woman-owned and operated business in Vancouver. They are focused on healing and multi-disciplinary support. With a wealth of incredible support available to clients, we wanted to create a website where all of the resources available could be easily cataloged, found, and enjoyed.
We started with an inspired mood-board of warm ocean tones, tactile fabrics, and fresh greenery. Because her space was being constructed, we had to use a lot of royalty free imagery to build the site and worked hard to ensure continuity between images.
GRAPHICS, WEB & PHOTOGRAPHY: TRANQUILITY COUNSELLING
Tranquility Counselling - Website & Photography
Tranquility Counselling is a woman-owned and operated business in Gastown, Vancouver. They are focused on healing. We wanted to showcase their work and keep their website current and easier to update on their own.
We started with an inspired mood-board of warm ocean tones, tactile fabrics, and fresh greenery. Because her space in Gastown was new - we created thoughtful vignettes and hired a model to showcase the reiki practise and share her counselling space.
It was a pleasure working with Michelle to photograph her space and share my photography skills as well.
GRAPHIC DESIGN, WEB DEVELOPMENT, & SOCIAL MEDIA AMITY CONSTRUCTION
Victoria, BC
Amity Construction - Website & Social
Amity Construction does excellent work and wanted a way to showcase their work and keep their website current and easier to update on their own.
We built a design guide based on the rich colors available on the west coast and designed something entirely new and creative to reflect the quality of work they build in the world. This included curating a distinct instagram feed, setting up facebook, and creating a beautiful website geared towards showcasing work, educating potential clients, and sharing their love of construction with the world.
GRAPHIC DESIGN & WEB DEVELOPMENT MICHAEL CASTRO
Toronto, BC
Michael Castro - Personal Website
As a professional speaker, Michael was keen to showcase his experience while also share with the world the types of speaking engagements he was excited to participate in.
We built a design guide based on his interests, built out custom javascript to the home page to showcase the many skills Michael has for cybersecurity, developed a call to action for email sign up (including creating a book cover mockup, shown below), and created a beautiful website geared towards growing his business connections.
WEB DESIGN & BRANDING: LANABETTY
Modern and Geometric
Vancouver, BC
Geometric Contemporary Jewelry
LanaBetty is the evolution of my creative passions, where I have tested,
trialled, and mastered a wide assortment of skills. I am the designer, photographer,
logistics coordinator, accountant, social media manager, website guru, and goldsmith.
I use photoshop, illustrator, snapseed, inshot, shopify, and a myriad of
online apps to bring the whole package together.
GRAPHIC DESIGN: BSIDES CONFERENCE
Vancouver, BC
B|Sides
I came onto this project late in the game in early February, 2020. Manufacturing overseas was no longer an option because of the pandemic, so we opted for a local manufacturer of swag that would also double to let others know whether attendees were VIP (Elite) or not (Hackers), as well as quick access to the online schedule.
I created and stylized the QR Code and using Illustrator, I adapted the paint-style logo they had into vector format and created heavily stylized graphics based on ticket tier. I also created contrasting artwork for 2.25” pinback buttons, which can be used at networking events for years to come.
WEB DESIGN & BRANDING: CYBER BUSINESS REVIEW
Victoria, BC
Cyber Business Review
Using the squarespace platform, we were able to create a functioning website with multiple blogs, xml fed javascript (current and up-to-date news articles), submission forms, infographics, and contributor information.
Created templates for blog posts, thumbnails, testimonials, and more, using InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. My focus was to take an idea for a website and give it life using the branding and design guidelines we developed early on.
Custom CSS and HTML coding for desktop, tablet, and mobile views; preparing views for responsive web viewing and managing contributing authors so the website is seamless and can run at multiple articles published per week moving forward.
WEB DESIGN & SOCIAL MANAGEMENT UGLY BUNNY
Kelowna, BC
Love Ugly Bunny
Working with UB has been such a delight. We started small by curating social media and decided a larger brand overhaul was within our reach.
Using an existing shopify platform that also included a secondary wholesale space, we were able to update and grow up the branding to be cohesive, directed, and thoughtful.
Content creation included product photography, social management, hashtag research, graphics for social media, link.tree integration, and setting up product links in instagram.
Long term goals include upgrading all print packaging; tissue, gift boxes, business cards, and care instructions.
WEB & GRAPHIC DESIGN: BC AWARE
Vancouver, BC
Vancouver Cybersecurity Conference - 2020
It was my absolute pleasure to work on BC Aware, a one day conference about cybersecurity in Vancouver. There are many moving parts, sponsors, external events, social media campaigns, talk tracks, and print materials. My focus was all digital and print content which included speaker bios, talk tracks, editing copyright, creating print programs, postcards, event signage, t-shirt design, eventbrite images, linkedin images, and all social images for advertising.
WEB DESIGN: EAST VAN JAM
Vancouver, BC
More Love, Less Sugar
I really love working with passionate small business owners. The main goal with East Van Jam was to help my client transition from an outdated wordpress website to a sleek and professional Shopify site. By switching to shopify, she would be able to better manage inventory, transition to online sales, and take payment in person with their integrated POS. I worked to transition content, write copy for the products, edit the CSS to allow for some products to be purchased online while others not, product photography, web hosting, and email integration with g-suites. I created slider images and as part of ongoing maintenance am working to help transition the business to online sales.
BRANDING & WEB DESIGN: MAJESTY AND FRIENDS
Modern Design Boutique
Edmonton, AB
Full Branding Package for Edmonton's Newest Design Shop.
Majesty and Friends is a modern design boutique located in Highlands, Edmonton.
It was my goal to create strong modern branding to compliment the vision of the shop keep.
I branded her logo, created all social media, developed the website (including email setup,
google business, mailchimp, and setting up the online store). This also included:
stamps, business cards, event post cards, social media images, facebook adverts, and more.
CONTENT CREATION: VEF
Vancouver, BC
Back end Support for Vancouver's Technology Entrepreneurs
VEF already had a website, but they were integrating their previous site with a new platform (nationbuilder). My tasks included membership import, donation and sales history of membership import, setting up the blog, preparing the back end, and inputting all content. I connected their mailing list, facebook, and twitter. Reviewed memberships for duplicate members, purged expired accounts, and highlighted overdue payments. Working with Nationbuilder expanded my experience across a new hosting platform. I also dabbled in the CSS, HTML, and back end coding of the site to improve overall appearance: updating headers, fonts, and matching colors.
BRANDING: BRIGHT GO
Vancouver, BC
Bright and Cheerful for a Human Resources Start Up
My goal with Bright Go was to share my love of design and create a strong brand identity while working with my client's love of bright colors. We chose two polar fonts to pair with the two polar colors (eggplant and chartreuse). I developed the logo, social media branding, and designed their business cards.
